Prior to forming Turnbull Design Group in 1987, Walt’s professional experience included managing a variety of projects for one of Charlotte’s original landscape architectural firms. Walt has managed or been directly involved in developing plans for several community park developments, various multi-family and single-family residential communities as well as office, retail and institutional properties.

As a founding partner of Turnbull Design Group and Turnbull Sigmon Design, Walt’s scope of work has focused on single-family and multi-family development, their evolving regulatory requirements, governmental plan approvals and construction administration. Walt possesses the design ability and technical understanding to accomplish detailed, construction-related objectives using the current versions of AutoDesk’s Land Development Desktop and other Windows-based design software. Walt is directly involved in the coordination of office construction documents, the administration of projects currently under construction and the design software structure and implementation at Turnbull Sigmon Design.
